The convention establishes a World Heritage Committee to create a &#8220;World Heritage List&#8221; of properties recognized as having Outstanding Universal Value and meeting the criteria for cultural heritage, natural heritage, or both.<br \/>\n\u3000The Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention established by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre defines cultural heritage, natural heritage, and mixed heritage as follows.<\/p>\n<h3>Cultural heritage<\/h3>\n<p>\u3000Monuments: architectural works, works of monumental sculpture and painting, elements or structures of an archaeological nature, inscriptions, cave dwellings and combinations of features, which are of Outstanding Universal Value from the point of view of history, art or science.<br \/>\n\u3000Groups of buildings: groups of separate or connected buildings which, because of their architecture, their homogeneity or their place in the landscape, are of Outstanding Universal Value from the point of view of history, art or science.<br \/>\n\u3000Sites: works of man or the combined works of nature and of man, and areas including archaeological sites which are of Outstanding Universal Value from the historical, aesthetic, ethnological or anthropological points of view.<\/p>\n<h3>Natural heritage<\/h3>\n<p>\u3000Natural features consisting of physical and biological formations or groups of such formations, which are of Outstanding Universal Value from the aesthetic or scientific point of view.<br \/>\n\u3000Geological and physiographical formations and precisely delineated areas which constitute the habitat of threatened species of animals and plants of Outstanding Universal Value from the point of view of science or conservation.<br \/>\n\u3000Natural sites or precisely delineated natural areas of Outstanding Universal Value from the point of view of science, conservation or natural beauty.<\/p>\n<h3>Mixed heritage<\/h3>\n<p>\u3000Properties that satisfy a part or the whole of the definitions of both cultural and natural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u3000Properties registered as World Heritage sites must be fixed properties; in other words, they are limited to land or buildings that are immovable.<br \/>\n\u3000For this reason, even if a religious structure, for example, were to be designated as a World Cultural Heritage site, the religious statues enshrined within it, ceremonial objects used during religious services, or other works of art (movable properties) would not be considered. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u3000The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted its Convention Concerni [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":31,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-33","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/33","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=33"}],"version-history":[{"count":8,"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/33\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":687,"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/33\/revisions\/687"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/31"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kyouikuisan.jp\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=33"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
